Better Ways to increase your Android Battery life– Helpful Tips

brighter gadgets - better ways of saving your battery
Hello friends,

I get this complain every time from friends and people around me asking me how to make their android battery last longer stating that it’s the major problem they encounter using the OS.

Have wrote some articles about battery saving tips on this blog. Click this link to read one of them - CLICK HERE and am here with more tips that will save your battery better. It works great!

Battery Saving tips for your Android Phone

1. Install only useful APPS!

I keep stressing this because it’s very important if you want more battery life. There is really no point installing lots of apps and you’re only using few of them. If what you always say is that “these apps will be useful one day” then what I suggest is that you backup those apps and uninstall it. When they become useful, install them back.
There is nothing to be proud of if you have 200 apps and you only use 12 on daily basics. Kick them out now!

2. Avoid using heavy launchers (themes).

This will shock you!

This advice is the best I can give to you. If you are this music loving person, you use your phone to make phone calls or you are the social media type, it’s advisable to use the phone for those functions. Am not against the idea of using beautiful themes and launchers but what’s the benefit of using those launchers to beautify a phone that switches off before 24 hours?
It’s best you pick one beautiful looking static wallpaper for your phone just to give it that beautiful feel and ignore some of these launchers that drains your battery quickly.
NB: Same goes with live wallpapers. Avoid them because they consume more battery and RAM than normal static wallpapers.

3. Avoid those apps that automatically clears your running app / ram.

I know you will be shocked with this also for this is another important tip I think you should know.
If you know your battery doesn’t serves you, uninstall those apps that automatically boosts your phone RAM or clear running apps – hope you know such apps? Those apps are good though but your battery life is more important.
If your phone isn’t on, I don’t see how those apps would run. So, it’s better to do everything possible to keep your phone on for those important calls, messages and so on.
You can clear your running apps manually after you are through with them even though this might be stressful.

4. Turn off data connection when not in use.
This point already explains itself.

After surfing the web and you sure that you aren’t expecting any message from someone, it’s good to turn off your data connection. Leaving it on makes apps that uses data to be running in background that’s why some times you see some adverts displaying even when you aren’t surfing the web anymore.
This also include WI-FI connections. If you doubt me, try it one day.

I can go on and on with more tips but I think this is enough for this post. If you practice these tips listed above, am very sure you will enjoy your phone better.

I will be sharing more tips in the future… So please bookmark this blog and subscribe to our newsletters.

How to Clean a Rough Face using your Android Phone

Hello friends,

…am here with something interesting today; some tricks for your android phone.

I keep on saying it that android is a smart OS and you must do things smartly with it lolz. It’s very annoying when you take a snap shot during a special occasion and when going through the pictures to upload to the net, you noticed that some parts of your face are kind of rough (either pimples, rash or something similar) and you really want to edit the face to look smooth.
The thoughts of heading to photoshop to do this edit breaks your heart maybe because you are far from your computer or you don’t know how to use the software.

Why worry about it when you got your android phone with you. Image Blur App does the magic.

IMAGE BLUR:
Going by the name, you should know what the app does… It’s for blurring either the background of your image or some particular parts you don’t want to be obviously visible. It’s really cool for those functions.

I thought of other use of the app and I came up with this article. You can actually use image blur (or background image blur sometimes called so) to clean those annoying pimples/rashes on the face. Now continue reading below…

How to do this Simple Trick:
  • Download and install the app (image blur) from this link --- CLICK HERE
  • Open it and locate the image you want to edit with the gallery icon.
  • Click the zoom icon then double tap on your screen or pinch to zoom.
  • Now click the brush icon and drag it backward to reduce the brush size.
  • Finally, with your finger on your screen, rub every part of your face to get the smooth effect applied.
Note: Avoid rubbing the eyes of your image. You can touch the lips and nose a little. Check out the picture below.

…that’s just all, check how the picture looks below and how it looks now. It’s a magic lolz

Record your Voice Calls Automatically on Your Android Phone

Have you ever forgotten an information passed to you on phone before? Maybe because the call was so lengthy that you forgot some lines of the important message. Or have this ever cost you your job? Like your boss called you, then directed you somewhere but you didn’t get him clearly and there was no way you could get the information back because you didn’t jot them down. Or where you embarrassed because you got no prove of what somebody said to you on phone and when you met that person one on one, he denies everything he said? Oh! That’s really annoying! Like in this situation when your fiancĂ©e tells you her birthdate on phone but you weren’t with your diary then to note it and when that special day arrived, you forgot. Jeeez! You are gone man!

All those situations listed above would have been controlled only if you had those calls recorded. Now, do you think recording a call is really important? Sure it is!

Most problems faced by people when downloading a particular app is looking for that perfect one; same thing goes in this situation. There are lots of ehmm ehmmm “not-good” apps on app store meant for phone recording but they don’t work fine that’s why I said “not-good” apps (having one problem or the other). Am here to really ease you that stress of searching round play store because I am going to give you a working link straight to the app.

The solution to Voice Call Recording is --- Call Recorder (that’s the name of the app).

How to set it up

  • Click the link above to download and then install
  • Open app
  • On Default, the On switch at the top right corner of the screen is active.
  • You can then click the menu icon and go to settings
  • Mark the Enable notifications and you can also change the File format but be very careful because the mp3 file format didn’t work for me. Am using the 3GPP file format.
  • After that, you can put a call across with another number to test it.
  • After the call, your successful call record notification will appear at the notification bar.
  • Click on it then play the recorded file with any of your music player.
NB: The recorded files are placed on your memory card. Sdcard/callrecorder

That’s all! By doing this, all your calls both incoming and outgoing will be recorded automatically.

...I get this question always from friends asking me on how they can boost / speed up their 2go stars quickly and sharply from Amateur to Ultimate! That's why this tutorial is here...

FACT: I believe that there is no particular cheat to boost your 2go star quickly. Personally, I have tried those tutorials online and non of them works. Most of them are time waiting and battery consuming.
These tips below will definitely help you in speeding your 2go star.

TIPS:

  1. Keep on chating with friends and don't bother about your 2go star. The main reason why you are on 2go is to chat with friends, so don't forget that.
  2. Try as much as possible not to get people bored when chatting with them. Once you get more friendly and interesting with your 2go friends, it will make you chat more with them thereby increasing your online presence. This in return boosts your star.
  3. Try as much as possible to come online every day and chat with someone atleast.
  4. Don't start up conversations with many friends at once. Pick on just 1 or 2 that you enjoy chatting with in other to allow the conversation flow naturally.
  5. From time to time, engage in 2go rooms. Check the list of room and choose one that you prefer and start chatting with lots of friends.
Going by these tips, I know that your 2go star will definitely get a new colour before Monday!

5 things you do that slows down your Android phone

Hello friends,
You got to read through this post because i'm very sure it will definitely help you.

Have you ever wondered why your Android phone performs very slowly? …Still thinking? Hmmm, why don’t you leave the thinking right now while I give you some answers to that question. CONTINUE READING

Below points (5) listed down may be the cause of your Android phone performing poorly and slowly when tasking with it.

Note: It’s kind of lengthy, so grab a cup of coffee or iced drink #winks

1. INSTALLING LOTS OF USELESS APPS
Let me try and stress this point out to you better.
Firstly, they are no useless app.
What I mean in this case is, if you go through your app list, you will discover that they are some apps you rarely use on your phone. Maybe, you just install them because you see a friend that have it installed in his or her phone.

For example, if I have the ’blogger’ app installed on my phone, its very useful to me because I blog with it but if a non-blogger installs the same app on his phone, its very useless to him because he don’t blog and he might never open that app again after the first time he opened it.

The funniest fact about this thing is that, you might even forget to delete that particular app you rarely use and when such app starts accumulating on your android phone, it uses up more of your memory space there by slowing down the phone.

Take for instance you have 100 apps installed on your phone, you rarely use 70 and your phone internal space is only 1gig, what do you think would be the outcome of such phone?
Note: Those installed apps leaves some data on your phone memory.

So, my candid advice for you right now is, grab your phone right immediately and sort those rarely use apps and start UNINSTALLING THEM!!! (with a furious face) hahahaha.

2. RUNNING LOTS OF APPLICATIONS SIMULTANEOUSLY.
This is another reason why your phone performs slowly.

Take for instance, I want to surf the web using my android phone so I opened Google chrome, Mozilla Firefox, opera mini and Uc web browser searching different things at the same time. Just for one operation, 4 apps are already running and if I want to hear music at the same time while surfing the web, I will open my music player and my external equalizer... Just now, 6 apps are already running. And mind you they are some apps that are already running in the background without you knowing.

The more you open apps the more you leave your phone to suffer for it because those running apps tends to rely on your phone R.A.M (random access memory) and if it’s a 512 ram or 1 gig ram, am afraid that things will start force closing. Or are you the type that forgets to close an app after using it?
If you check such phones, you might see 20 apps in there minimized list. Please, If you fall in that category, try to close apps after use and if you are in the category of running some many apps that have almost the same functions like the illustration I gave above, try to choose an app that you believe suits you better and run it only.

3. DOWNLOADING FREE APPS THAT COMES WITH LOTS OF ADS.
When we are in search of an app that would solve a particular issue for us, we tend to search the app store to get it. After downloading the app for free from the store, you install and click open, you first thing you see is one annoying ads that occupies the whole of your screen argggh! I hate seeing that!

Running apps with lots of buggy ads confuses your phone and you the owner. And some of these ads lag the phone when they become excessive. The “X” button (cancel button) doesn’t work in some of these ads. You will keep on clicking on it for the buggy thing to leave your screen but it won’t respond then you will get the message “so so so app is not responding, wait or force close”.

Now, am not discouraging you from downloading free apps but my suggestion is, if the ads are much and you don’t have the cash to buy the pro version, just uninstall it and go find an alternative. Look for a similar app that can do such functions with little or no ads.

4. USING UP YOUR INTERNAL MEMORY.
Some of us love music, games and funny videos. Now check out the situation below…

You checked your friend’s laptop and noticed that he have the music you loves and it approximately 3.7gig but you only have a 2 gig memory card. During the transfer process, you get the notification from the pc saying “no more space on the external device”. Seeing you, you remembered that you have some free space on your phone that’s over 1 gig (internal storage). Then you decided to transfer the rest down there since you don’t have space again on your sd card.

No doubt, most android phones have internal spaces like 1 gig, 2 gig, 4 gig, 8 gig, 16 gig, and so on but when you are at the bottom of the list (those having 1 gig or 2 gig of internal storage) I will strongly advice that you don’t use such space for your files (videos, music, apps & games). If you most have lots of videos on your phone, do purchase an Sd card with larger space. Why? Because apps installed saves part of it data there (your internal memory) and those apps would appreciate if you got lot of space there to accommodate them.

So, hurrah now and grab your extra sd card…

5. NOT CLEARING THOSE CACHE FILES APPS LEAVES BEHIND.
Some installed apps leaves some cache files on our phones but we may not know.

When these cache files accumulate, they slow down that app thereby slowing down the phone. So my advice is that you should clear such cache files regularly.

To do this manually, follow the steps below
1. Go to phone settings then locate Apps or Apps Manager and click on it.
2. Click the All tab and locate those apps that performs slowly when ever you run them and click on them one after the other.
3. Scroll down and click Clear Cache.

That’s all! If you don’t like the manual method, you can opt-in for the automatic method by downloading an app that clears cache files automatically. I would recommend CLEAN MASTER!

So, that’s all I have for you today, hope you enjoyed this article and your iced soft drink? If this article was helpful to you, share it to a friend.

THANKS FOR VISITING.

How to Send Apk files through Bluetooth From Any Android Phone

Hello friends,

I want to show you something very important today...

I had a similar problem some time ago, so i "googled" it and got lots of search results. But i wasn't satisfied with the answers i got. The answers are listed below...
  1. Sending the apps via email.
  2. Backing up the app and sending the backed up copy.
  3. Zipping the app and sending it as a zipped folder. And so on...
Those answers certainly have a "comma". See the "commas" below...
  1. If you don't have an internet connection, i can't use advice 1.
  2. If you don't have a rooted or a 4.0  and above android phone, you can't you advice 2.
  3. If you don't have an app to zip and unzip files, you can't use advice 3.
So, i thought and thought until i came up with this idea... Continue REadiNG...

MY METHOD
My method is very simple, just change the file extension of the apk you want to send.

MY STEPS
  • Go to your explorer and locate the apk you want to send.
  • Hold on it and click Rename
    www.brightergadgets.blogspot.com
    Rename the app you
    want to send.
  • Then Clear the .apk in front of the name (after the name of the file).
For example if its OfficeSuit.apk you want to send, Clear .apk from the name and click done. So you will be left with OfficeSuit.

    www.brightergadgets.blogspot.com
    Clear .apk and click done
  • Finally, hold on the app (Officesuit) then click Share... Click Bluetooth and share it with your friend (the receiver).
    www.brightergadgets.blogspot.com
    Click share

    www.brightergadgets.blogspot.com
    Click Bluetooth share
  • Now on your friend's phone (the receiver), Rename the received file... From OfficeSuit to OfficeSuit.apk
    www.brightergadgets.blogspot.com
    The receiver should put .apk
Note: If you don't rename it, you won't be able to install the file because the extension has changed.
Please, follow every step according... And note, not all file explorers are the same. Where my share icon is might not be where yours will be, so understand your file explorer very well.

If you encounter any problem while doing this, please comment about it.
